Eye Health Evaluation
20/20 vision does not always equal healthy eyes. Many eye conditions have no symptoms in their early stages. With experience in diagnosing and treating such typical vision disorders as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, Dr. Gifford and his Vision Care Associates team are equipped to provide appropriate therapeutic medical eye care.
At the same time, we are conveniently located next to Visionworks, giving our patients easy access to the high-quality, reasonably-priced eye care products that Visionworks has to offer. The combination of our professional medical eye care services and the wide selection of vision care products available from Visionworks affords our patients the opportunity to have all of their eye care wants and needs satisfied in one accessible location.

Treatment of Eye Disease
If you are diagnosed with an eye disease, you want only the best treatment available to get your eyes healthy again. At Vision Care Associates, you receive such individualized care. Based on your diagnosis, we may recommend a wide variety of approaches, including prescription medicines, therapy and vision exercises, and medical procedures.
Advanced diagnostics
We use state of the art digital photography to
document your ocular status and enable you to see
the health of your eyes from the inside. Digital retinal
photography gives a more comprehensive view of the
retina than a dilated examination alone. The retinal
image is an efficient, convenient way to screen the
eyes for such conditions as glaucoma, diabetic
retinopathy, and cancer in the eye.
The doctor will discuss any findings with you in the
exam room. Digital retinal photography gives
the doctor a permanent record to monitor for future changes.
LASIK Consultation
Dr. Gifford works in conjunction with local LASIK specialists to provide preoperative and postoperative care for LASIK candidates. If you are interested in refractive surgery as an option to correct your vision, discuss it with Dr. Gifford at your next visit.
24-Hour Emergency Care
Personalized Care
Did you ever have a doctor that failed to discuss your condition or his/her findings with you? At Vision Care Associates, you will be given explanations to all tests performed and all findings noted during the course of your exam. You will be given ample opportunity to ask questions and will be given a clear plan of action to address your problems.
You use your eyes every waking minute of every day. It is critical that the doctor understands exactly how you use your eyes so that you may achieve the clearest, most comfortable, relaxed vision for every task you perform.
Good Eye Care Begins With A Yearly Exam
The best way to protect and maintain your vision is with a yearly eye checkup. Even a basic eye exam can instantly detect health-threatening conditions such as tumors, vascular irregularities and diabetes-related injury to the retina. At VCA, a yearly checkup is efficient, thorough, and painless.
