About

Our Doctor

Dr. Gifford grew up in Rogers, Arkansas. After graduating from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, he went on to the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry to complete his doctoral training. His areas of interest include diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, specialty contact lens fitting, and family vision care. ​


Prior to his move to Charlotte, Dr. Gifford started his career in a group optometric practice in southeast Missouri. He moved to Charlotte and opened Vision Care Associates in 2008 and has been here ever since. He prides himself on providing the most comprehensive, personalized care possible. He is a member of the Piedmont Optometric Society, North Carolina State Optometric Society, and American Optometric Association.


When not in the office, Dr. Gifford spends most of his time with his wife Corrie and their daughters Addison and Lilah.

Our Staff

As you begin your visit at Vision Care Associates, you will be greeted by our caring staff. With their years of experience in the eye care field Tiffany, Zena, and Kyara will help to take care of you in preparation for your appointment with Dr. Gifford. They are available to assist with insurance questions, contact lens training, vision testing, and a myriad of other tasks that arise in the office. If there is anything we can do to help you, please let us know.

Giving Back

Throughout the year Dr. Gifford also volunteers his services to the local nonprofit organization Seeing and Believing providing free eye examinations and eyeglasses to the less fortunate in the Charlotte area.
